Finally came home today after staying in school for 5 days. Feel like the days in they army where I only get to go home on weekends. The feeling is so… Great! It’s been some time that I feel so good to be in my own room in front of my computer sleeping on my bed.

Been a busy semester, from the day I starts my shoot till the day I end it with my 16mm TVC shoot. In total 1 mth, 9 productions shoot in which 2 I directed. That’s a lot! Nevertheless learn a lot from being gaffer to camera assist to grip and PAs. I can say that this semester was truly a fulfilling one.

Soon, in few weeks time, Red Table Production will officially be introduced to the school. A production team consisting of me, shiqi, ellen, jiahui, felice, jit and caroline. 7 of us made Red Table Production.I do really hope that Red Table not just exists in our schooling days but also when we are out in the industry. People will know us as the Red Table production team.

Proud to say, 3 of us also got selected for the Tibetan trip. I am really lucky to get this opportunity with 5 other film students. Though I know it will not be an easy trip but definitely a trip that can’t be missed. When on earth will I be given a chance to go Tibet? Not just going there for holiday but to shoot a documentary. That is really a once in a life time experience.

Tired of writing essays, why can’t I focus just on film and directing, like what a master course will offer to post grads. I really hope that I can go through another directing class to better understand how a director works. I need to improve myself, look more see more observe more…

Shooting Season...

It’s the time of the year that shooting will be going on for weeks. I have been through a 5 day of film shoot since Monday. Gone for the Thaiindie film workshop at NUS on Monday and Tuesday. It was really a good experience there talking and sharing film experience and knowledge with the Thai film makers and film students from other schools.

Something I learn from the Thai filmmakers are they focus on their story a lot and really putting personal feelings and connection into their films, without the means of High-end or good equipment. Personally, as a film student in school, I should really focus on the story telling and make use of what ever the school has to enhance my story. There’s no point to have a film with beautiful shots but sucky content. The film should tell something that the director wishes to convey.

From Wednesday to Friday, is my 2nd short film production. Finally after a hard long 2 month of planning, it’s time to make convert my idea into visual. Everything goes rather smoothly, the crews were fantastic, we know each other very well and have a fun time shooting. The cast were marvelous, really glad to get Wanhui and Yisheng to help me. I believe I have cast them right. I really spent quite sometime to find my cast.

However, something that I learnt from this shoot is that, I take it for granted that since there is not much dialogue, I did not really rehearse much with my cast before the shoot. Another reason is due to time constraint as it is quite hard to get my cast for one day of rehearsal and there are a lot of other things to settle as well. Well, guess this is something that I need to improve on, learn how to communicate my idea effectively to my cast. I need more of directing class!!! Lilian!!!! Where are you????? Haha…

A very big thank you for the help from my crew and cast. You guys are great. Hope that I have been a good director, if not please do give me feedback so I can improve on it. I’m seriously looking to improve my directing in the next shoot. :)

2 weeks of Roller Coaster

This blog gonna be long… been 2 weeks since the school starts… but too much things have been happening… there is the election and handing over of the duties of the 2nd management committee coming up, 1st year anniversary with my dear and my mum’s birthday celebration… I nearly fall sick and exhaust myself last weekend… luckily manage to pick myself up and move on… haha…

Anyway, 9th August was great, not only national day, but a special moment for me and my dear… went out to buy gifts… for me… haha… and had a sumptuous dinner at suntec, can’t believe it we ate a 90++ dinner… haha… but is really GOOD! Then follow by a glimpse of the fireworks performance… lucky us manage to get a national goodie bag which include the Star… haha…

Then another 150+ dinner on my mum’s birthday… this month is really xiong… spend a lot… if not for teck’s lobang, I don’t know where to get all this money sia… haha… but is ok lah… the more I earn the more I am willing to spend… hehe…

Well the main thing I’m gonna say is the election… it had been a torturous 1 week of consideration… run, don’t run, run, don’t run, run, don’t run, run, don’t run, run, don’t run, run, don’t run, run, don’t run,… in the end I submitted my form and then I withdrew! Haha… ok it sounds bad especially I drag along a team with me… feel bad for them and the people supporting me… but my heart and passion is no more there for the committee already… compare to ying… she is much more passionate then me… so why not I withdrew and contribute in other ways?

Is only till yesterday I finally feels happy within and have a goal for myself… Wongfu production, this team that starts off with nothing but crappy videos and now they are on the roll of getting rich and making feature films… This group of people was my dear’s inspiration and now mines as well… Talking about low budget filming, guess I’m gonna look at how they does their work and adopt their kind of low budget model… it have been sometimes since I have this kind of drive and passion to do something… the feeling was great… also have a chance to organize some screening events for Asian Film Archive… I seriously feel that these are the things I’m seriously looking at… getting more involved in events and not just simply overseeing them… Grafire and Film Focal are some other events that I’m looking at to promote the school and film to the local community.

From the look of it… year 3 gonna be an experiencing year… I hope… getting expose to the media industry through different means… good luck to the 3rd management committee and to me as well… hehe…

A Wrap for Summer Break

Hmm been 1 month plus since I last updated my blog… sometimes really wanna blog but just damn busy and lazy to blog it out… anyway I gonna one shot blog the events that happens for the past one month…

Been a very fulfilling time working at Esplanade, helping the Marketing people to market the events and also understand how Esplanade function… is really a cool place to work in with nice people around… it makes me feel much closer to art!

End my job mid July, b4 I can call for a rest, Teck called me for another job offer… hmmm seems that jobs started to come in when I decided to rest… anyway 1st time doing location scout for Teck, good experience… good money… have a chance to really recce with the producer, director and DP. They are really crappy and funny people… but they are really cool, they do know their stuff...

Yap, straight away 5 days of FOC, damn tiring on the 1st few days but adapt to the late night sleep as the days goes by… a wonderful ending to the FOC, much better then last year… it will only get better…

Yap, end of FOC, 1 week left before school starts, a lot of student club stuff to tidy up before the election and handing over… but for this one week, I kept asking myself should I just walk? Or run? I don’t know how much commitment I can put in either… but funny thing is I already plan out everything that I going to do if I decide to run… oh… it is really contradicting… my heart and mind is playing tricks on me…

Anyway, I really do hope that this coming 3rd year will be a fulfilling one… cos I had a good 2nd year in ADM and hope that it just get better… JAI YOU!!!

Today, I’m down with Flu and Cough... stay at home play game whole day... quite relaxing... no need to think of work or studies… simply kept my mind free from worries… At night watch Rocky 6 on my computer, it is truly inspiring though the camera works and shots sucks... but the ending match was really the highlight... cool indeed...

Yeah... finally here comes the holiday... A long and tough academic year I should say, however, I am really please with my performance so far in my 1st year majoring in digital filmmaking...

Anyway, alot of plans for me to improve myself in the holday as well as planning for the coming FOC!!! Special semester, 6ix people production, reading, reading and more reading and preparing for the coming academic semester... alot alot of things waiting for me... Also really wanna go oversea and take a breather... but budget... haha... anyone got any plans in mind?

Watch a few movies recently... this particular korean movie is really good... the song I'm palying on my blog... is the theme song from the movie... 200 pound beauty... korean movie are good in making u laugh and making you tears... my dear teared when we watched... :)

Phew… 3 weekends of production had finally ended… been really tough and fun. Lucky I have such a great and efficient working team. Really do have a lot of fun and laughter, blood and sweat during the shoot.

24th March: My shoot… Moving equipment up 4 levels to the film location, tiring but a good warm up exercise for everyone. Lost my friend’s room key… oops…

25th March: Faizal’s shoot… next sunny day, get super burn and living alone in the sound world of mine…

31st March: Sara shoot’s… feeling lazy and just enjoying the aircon in ADM. Only slate and say scene and shot no.

1st April: April fool day but not for me. DP for Jit… the most tiring and shag shoot day of all. More tiring then directing… however, happy with the outcome.

7th April: Jiahui’s shoot impress with her sets, great and incredible… as a gaffer mainly I am setting light for the “Fake” fireplace”. Happy with the result after looking at the digitize footage… haha…

8th April: Nicole shoot… outdoor… AD… 1st thing is to worry about rain… lucky I made an important decision to skip my TKD grading and stay… It rains at 3p.m… luckily I stay to pack all the stuff before hand and we are all safe to be in school once it rains… What a great Finale for our group.

After the shoot I did not go home, rather stay at my dear’s room and slept till 11a.m the next morning… then I stare at the ceiling fan recalling what I have gone thru the last 3 weekends… what a memorable filming experience… hope that we have lotsa this kind of training… really… though tiring but good for us.

However, sad to hear that my Prof. Lilian is leaving us next year…. If not for her I will be like half way in animation and half way film… dreaming in my visual effect world. She really spur my interest in film production and give me hope in this industry… however it is really sad to see her leaving ADM as I personally feel she is the best professor I have met in ADM so far…

So much about the film shoot… next is post-production and exams… 3 more weeks to holiday… Jiayou ba everyone in ADM!!!

TKD IVP 2007

Finally, 3 days of IVP has ended. Today I got my very 1st chance to enter the arena and fight for my school. I had been very nervous before my 1st game, afraid that I might lose in my first game. However, it comes out to be a surprise! My opponent seems to be an inexperience fighter. Don’t know how I can K.O him in the second round and join the “7-Pointers club” on my very 1st match in TKD. Really surprise with the result and was a great morale booster for my Finals.

Lucky my final opponent is also from NTU, thus there is no pressure of losing because 1st and 2nd is confirm to NTU. Therefore, the last game is just for the Gold, no pressure. Too bad, I lost on a margin by 1 point after a very tactical and patient match. Good day for me, Good experience. As for next year IVP, will see how as this year the training really took up most of my time. J Maybe I shoot a film on Taekwando… haha…

Yap, this year really do celebrate my valentine with my dear as well as the ADMers... haha... gone out shop & eat with my dear on Sunday... an early celebration and have a big buffet fest with the ADMers on valentine's day itself at Siam Restaurant. It was a great dinner, 14 of us, happen to be 7 guys and 7 gals, went down to jurong point and had a great dinner... hmm... haha the reciept was about $350+ wah haha... this Valentine spent a lot, but lucky Chinese New Year is around the corner in fact is tomorrow!!! So income will comes... haha... :)

Yesterday, I attend a Job Interview lecture for my Mastering Communication Module. The Guest Speaker mention about something that makes me again think of the same problem I am facing since the day I chosen this path. The Professor says “It’s easy to find a job but not easy to find a job that SUITS YOU!”

True, but problem is for now I don’t even know what job I like or suits me. Frankly, if I were to say, any job can bring me wealth and status, I would say it will be a good job and I will be happy working in it. However, this does not means I am 100% happy with my job either. I might be working for the sake of money and status. It just reminds me of the movie “The Devil Wears Prada”.

What I want to do after I graduate? It is a question which is much more difficult to answer than any of my accounting question taken last semester. Many people ask me, even I asked myself a few times, yet I can’t find any answer. Seriously, I seek advice and help from professionals, professors and friends, but still I am at lost. Is there anyone out there that can give me a light?

I shift from a multimedia area into Animation and to find that I actually like Film more than Animation and move on to Film. Now what? I am stuck here in between Film and Animation. Am I going to be in the Production line under the limelight or be hidden in the dark computer lab 24/7 clicking the mouse? Which path suits me better and where is my interest? Both have their pros and cons, I can’t make a decision.

I guess I have to follow the wind and learn whatever I am interested in school. Hopefully, by end of year 3 or I should say, by end of year 3, I must have a concrete answer about my future, so I can focus on my FYP to built my final power piece in ADM before I embark on my career.

I don’t know what to do, I don’t really believe in god or saint, but I really hope that the “someone” will come and shed some light on me to show me the path… I would be really grateful for that…

Same to the other of my coursemates who really put in alot of effort in doing it... really a good expereience and hardship that we had gone through last semester!

Been 3 weeks since the school starts… neither busy nor free… seems that I have more time for me to think of what to do… good & bad at the same time… been thinking thru what I wan to be by the time I graduate so I can start building my portfolio.

However, the future seems very blur and vague to me… can’t seem to get the right vision just yet… can’t be locking myself into one area without really trying in other area that I am interested in… therefore I tell myself to keep my option open…

Now I have at narrow down the area that I will be going into… Still I will go into visual effects… in terms of compositing and motion graphics, where the local market is more vibrant… then into cinematography… lastly a producer role which is shit job but I think I can handle it well…

By end of 3rd year I must really had a decent portfolio to be able to show to my employee just to clinch myself an internship which I think is really important as I will most probably lead me to my future career in that area… I don’t mind end up in a pre or production line as long I am happy and take pride in whatever I do…

Looking at the next 2 years curriculum, seems that there is not much time for me to learnt everything… but at least I tell myself to get the inessential skills right and the rest is up to me to develop outside of school… so much software and techniques to learnt and master… seriously need to focus well…

Ok… enough of my schools work… as for social life… well, been into TKD recently as IVP is coming end of FEB… at least TKD will keep my mind occupied for this early period of the semester… friends… been trying to meet them occasionally… cos in my life, other then my family, my dear and my school work… I still need my buddies around… maybe should ask someone out to shop this coming couple of weekends for my CNY clothes… haha… anyone intersted?

That’s all for this long input… the future seems unclear, is up to us to clear the path as we move on…

Finally, 2006 had pass and we will welcome 2007… Been reading some “Feng Shui” horoscope thingy about Pigs in the year of Pig… doesn’t seems good… but nevertheless life still goes on and I had to get mentally prepared for anything that comes…

2006 had been rather a good year for me. It is great to learn a lot of things regarding film just within a year and get to know a group of enthusiast film makers and work with them. Other than academic matters, been going into Taekwando and won a medal in IVP also currently in the main committee of the ADM student club. Life is much more enriching now compare to my poly days.

Lastly, I am happy to have friends around me to chill and talk cock all year long… My Pri/Sec buddies as well as my OCS Platoon mates… haha… Life will be boring without you guys… Last but not least, I finally found my dear… she’s not perfect (Everyone is not perfect, same to me) but because of that I really loves and cherishes her… I am really happy to have her with me to walk thru 2006 into 2007… J

Year 2007 will be a new start… This year I would really like to focus on my school work and at the same time to try my best to gain some experience in the media-related film industry… I believe is important for me to get networks way before I graduate. Therefore, my main objective is to do well in my studies and subsequently work. Yap! That will do… Hope that 2007 will be a better year… Same to everyone else!

Year 2006 have been coming to an end soon... this year is considered not a bad year for me... done alot of stuff in school as well as outside of school... most importnat found my love... :)

My com had been down for almost 2 weeks... been down to Sim Lim and the Computer Repair Shop a few round just to get my CPU repair...

Been to Qi's family chalet, had a good time there relaxing and knowing new friends and people...

Yesterday spent my Christmas eve with my friends eating prata at Bukit Timah and have a chat at Seletar...

New Year is coming... a start to a new semester and new year... hopefully it will be as good as this year if not better...

Finally another semester had past. This semester is a much more fulfilling and enriching semester then the previous two. I have learnt a lot of things this semester, especially in the craft of making a film.

Last week has been hectic, exams, assignment due date, screening and last but not least fly by night. The film screening was a hit, for the very first time the school auditorium are full with people. People claps & cheer when one by one we went up to the stage to give a speech. However, somehow deep within me, I don’t feel the excitement at all… seriously funny? I don’t know why…

Fly by night, seriously a fun time making films and experimental with it. Together with Jeff, Michael, Jit and I did a funny yet very technical and conceptual film. Love it much more then my short film… haha… but we did not win any of the prizes. However, at least 3/5 of the ADM teams won. We are just as happy… yah…

Today have a really deep thought and reflection on this semester and what I am going to do in coming semester and beyond… Started to lost confidence with myself… initially I hope that the film production and editing could help me set a good start to boost my morale and confidence, however it turn out to be another way round…

Been in a moody state and feeling lost yet again… thinking wildly and not knowing what should I do next… however, still manage to clear my thoughts… I don’t like to see my short film… it is emotionally too depressing for me… the film does not speaks about me… seriously I failed in terms of concept… after looking at almost 70plus short films in 1 week, I came to realize a very important thing…

Also I do really respect the winner for the best short film by Elgin Ho. His story was great. He pitches the story during the narrative class and I was touched by it. I tell myself if he were going to film it, it will definitely be a hit. His film is the one that I am so eager to see during the editing period. Because I know it will be good. He said

I am truly inspired by what Elgin has said and I came out with my own thoughts… I tell myself that I am going to produce films that I like and enjoy making. It is only then I will be able show my drive, passion and unique style in my work.

Lastly, I will really want to congratulate to all Film student that everyone had seriously done a good job. For most of them, it is their first short film and yet they have pull thru a great work. Scott is a great professor and we are happy to have him. Not forgetting Jan and Lilian. ADM seriously Film ROCKZ big time!

Yohoo… Finally finish my final paper for this semester, should be ok lah for my Asian Art History but not so for my Accounting on Monday… part B is totally gone, never feel so helpless before during exam that I totally dunno how to do and feel like giving up… luckily I did not.

Today went to town, finally can go town liao… hop in the “New York New York” at City link to have my lunch. Thanks to my dear… a treat at “New York New York”… did not really eat the 8 inch burger but at least a smaller version one… environment nice… food also nice… price also reasonable… a good place I recommend… not forgetting the cheese cake that you bake for me last weekend… really love it.. Thanks my dear…

Yap, later go jalan jalan play games at arcade centre… been so long since I play game… play the catch stuff one and nearly win back a PSP… ah… just a bit more I could got it… but anyway… spent $10 at the arcade and at least we got a Lilo and Stitch small Hankie lah… haha… which cost $10? Haha… but the main thing is the feeling and process of playing the game… so fun… haha…

In the evening dear and I came home… join my parent, brother and ah ma go old turf club eat seafood… haha… very happy cos having family dinner at a seafood restaurant. Have nice and fresh seafood there… nice environment and we are really FULL! The money, I think is worth while… though not that cheap leh… haha

Eh… talk so much… wanna post pictures… then realize din take any photo leh… haha… so sad… but anywhere all these that happen on my 23rd birthday will always be with me in my wonderful sweet memories…Thanks to all of my friends who send me my birthday greeting… holiday is coming… before that is FLY BY NIGHT on this Friday… so excited…. Finally, my film shoot is finally over... what's now is to do the post-production in school for the next 3 weeks... right after the shoot, that night I came back to school, eagerly to digitize my footage…

Glad to say it comes out well, the shots and lighting was very nice at my grandma place…

The power shot on Sunday was well shot too… happy with most of my shots… all thanks to my beloved and committed production crew and cast. Without you all I don’t think I can get all this nice shots…

My 1st film and I am quite happy with the production process. I consider a success for the production part. Now the next hurdle will be joining all this footage together to show what I wanted to show.

Hi,

I am Danny Lim, a 2nd year NTU student from the School of Art, Design & Media. I will be shooting a short film on October 14 and 15 (Sat and Sun) entitled "HANGman". It is about a young teenage boy and his mum trying to escape from the ill-treatment of his step father. The story brings us through his memories starting from him sitting in a prison cell till the moment he was hanged.

LEUNG, the young teenager, a mute, age 20, boyish & innocent look.

LEUNG’s STEP-DAD, man in his 40s, actual age not an issue as long you look mature.

LEUNG’s MUM, woman in her 40s, actual age not an issue as long you are able to pull off a convincing MUM look.

IS coming… I can feel it… pressure… stress…work is all coming… been going mad because of accounting… everything is going so fast that I don’t even have the time to stop and reviewed my work… I just keep doing and doing…

Looking forward of my schedule… a number of student club stuff to handle once the sub com is up…I am going to do my filming in 4 weeks time and yet I have confirmed my script…. Die… b4 term break there is TKD UC challenge to handle, after term break got accounting quiz… then filming… and slowly I will find myself staying in school to do most of my filming things… just like the animator who already started to stay over…then before I can realize, it will be November where exams will be coming… wahh…. Really need to plan some time to revise my accounting, i can;t study last min sure die… I just need more time for that…

This Semester have been moving very fast yah… it seems like FOC had just finish… haha… now nearly mid term loh…

Anyway, I really need people to help out in my filming… haha… crew and cast… any volunteers out there? Or any of your friends interested to become crew member or cast can intro to me? Haha… is a voluntary thing… there is no budget in my 1st short film… :)

Thinking of what to do on late Friday Night? Haha… Let’s go Prawning… been living in Jurong for almost 20 years and is only till yesterday that I got to know of such a wonderful night spot at Lakeside.

Yap, together with Delun and Weirong, we went on a night rip to Lakeside Fishing Village near Japanese Garden... Waoh! At late night past 12 there are still people both young and old at the fishing place fishing and prawning… haha…

Ok 3 of us loan 2 rod at a cost of $52 for 3 hours… ok my 1st time prawning… Very Excited haha… ok we use “Hum” as bait and start casting… Weirong and Delun gone 1st, me sitting back observing how they and other people catch prawn…

After ½ an hour, delun had to go toilet so I take over… Guess what… Is only 30 sec after I cast, I got a TIGER Prawn!!! Haha… dunno how to describe my feeling… guess should be beginners luck bah… then soon after Weirong caught another one… haha… so the score after 1 hour is Dan 1 Rong 1 Lun 0…

Ok guess that was a good start, however, for the next 2 hours we have been catching air and our bait kept eaten up by the prawn… clever prawn… but I am really determine to catch the third one so that it looks nice with 1 person 1 prawn… haha… yap… 5 mins to go… I got on to a prawn… tickling with my bait... however I miss it 3 times… the last cast… I threw… slowly mingle with it… YES! Hook on! There make it 3 for the day…. Not bad for 1st timer… I guess… however it really cost a lot leh… 3 prawn $52 and is around $17 a prawn… ARGHHH…. Poor delun… din even had a hook… the kids that were prawning beside him kept hooking on… hehe…

Haha… anyway is fun lah the process of prawning and talking cock with them… so that sums up for the high cost yah… There we go BBQ the Prawn on the spot… and it really taste good after a 3 hour hard work… the Tiger Prawn is really nice… YUMMY!!!

A Crazy week

Yah… Finally everything gets cleared out in my mind… I agree I am an impatient person, but I don’t like to hide my feelings… I know if I don’t tell her that night, I might not have the courage to do so again… Anyway, I really do hope everything goes well… yap… we need more time to understand each other…

Ok, enough of all my worries… had been going to school since last week to help out the school in moving and installing all the computers… I am so excited with the system that the school had purchased… i-mac G5 QUAD (2 x duo Core) leh!!! Wah… accompanied with a 23inch monitor… piangz… how I wish I had one set at home… cool lah…

Yesterday evening was a fun day… Jit, Royston and I decided to go Clementi for dinner after work in school… so wanted to ask Ellen out for dinner since she live nearby there… in the end we ended up at her house for dinner instead… haha… her parents are very inviting… no stress eating with their family… and I am really happy cos it had been quite a while I had eaten at home where my mum will cook…

Jit suggested that we should buy something up so we bought a watermelon… then u know crazy ppl from ADM doing crazy stuff… we added some creativity onto the watermelon… haha… see what this 2 bugger did to the watermelon… even Ellen’s mum don’t know where she should cut the watermelon… haha…

Fairy Tale Ending...

Got home at around 1:30a.m in the morning, been for a night ride across Singapore, how I wish yesterday never ends… Finally I confessed my feeling towards her… I know we only been seeing and knowing each other for only a week plus but already I have a crush on her… It really only takes only 1 second to fall for someone… Sad to say I don’t know how to tell her straight cos it seems that there are a lot of things in mind that I really want to tell her… but… I guess she would not want to hear all my craps…

While driving back, I stopped half way by the side of the road… been thinking and trying very hard to accept what she told me… but I can’t… send her a long sms and hoping that I could get an answer… positive or negative really doesn’t matter… at least I need an answer… can’t sleep last night… no mood for my breakfast in the morning… my dad even ask me why I can’t eat… I just smile to him…

I don’t know if things are turning sour, she never reply me anything… no answer… Even if things can’t workout, I hope she would not hide from me… I am seriously deeply in love with her… she is really a very good girl… the type of independent and sporty girl that I am looking for all along… I told her I realize that the chemistry and character of a girl is the things that matter to me most… but I simply cannot accept the reason she gave me… simply can’t… As a guy I already threw away my ego for her… but… I just simply run out of words…

Wat a terrible start of a day… woke up at 12pm… piangz… slept for almost 10+ hours… really dun wish to wake up though my alarm sound at 8a.m… nothing to look forward to for the day… feel so restless any unmotivated…

Had 2 x “Ba Bao” for my Brunch… wah seriously full leh… Wanna work on my website but simply no mood lah… sianz… really wanna go out walk around and find some friends… but hmm… seems like I have not much of a choice…

It already been 3 days since the FOC ended… End of a fairytale? Images and events of FOC keep flashing in my mind, everyday, every night been thinking of FOC and how I wish everything had not ended… why, why WHY?

Yesterday I know that some will go back to help pack some store, I am so happy to go back school so I can see the ppl again… having able to watch movie till late night in S3.1… feel so happy deep within… but of cos not EVERYONE was there… some left early some had other stuff to do…

Kinda funny why I feel so restless for the past few days though I already had ample of sleep… no mood to do anything… stoning and gazing in the air and one corner of the room for as long as an hour… there must be some problem within me… must be the Sagi side of me who always give me this problem… much more emotional compare to scorpio…

Have a chat with Big Kel on Sunday which makes me feel much better… but that’s not enough though… blogging as well does not do much as I knew that my blog is too “publizise” that strangers will be able to see… argh… I need a helping hand… I know only this person can help me… but is she willing to? Damn… I m feeling like a weakling… this is not me…

ADM FOC 06/07

What a week for me, our very first ADM FOC, I can say is a great success, though everyone in the organising committee are drained out mentally and physically.

Come to think of it, it was near of last semester that ADM club is looking for volunteer to help out in organising the camp. At that point of time I jot down my name without any hesitation. I am not sure why I did that thought there are no CCA pts and I need not have to gain points to stay in hall. However, I think I just want to give the Freshies a good orientation camp that what we, the pioneer batch had missed out, which is a very sad thing.

Then only to know that I am the house master for the camp which brings me much responsibility to the camp and house itself. Most of my GLs had said I have done a good job; however I feel that I can do even better. I give myself 3/5 for my performance of keeping the house morale and spirit throughout the camp. I am really sucks in camp cheers lah… haha… but Army had really train me well to lead, excel and overcome obstacles.

Seriously, on the last night of the camp when the bash is over, I feel lost… lost till the sense that I don’t really want to go home even though I am damn tired… In the end, most of us stay in hostel where everyone manages to squeeze in a room and talk cock and slept thru next day… Really had a nice time working and have fun with my course mates though we seldom talk to each other in school.

Only till then I finally realize that the friendship and lovely memories forge between us are the most valuable things that I had gained in this FOC.

I really miss the FOC, the people I work with and the cute Freshies…

At work now... away from my “hectic” workload... haha... decided to blog... Yesterday just did my registration for next semester. This time round my whole week is full... no free day... so sad... some of my friends mange to get a 3 day week... how is that possible... I don't think it is possible for films student as one CORE module studio work is separate into 2 days... hai... no choice... but nvm is ok... anyway it does not make a difference since most of my time I will be staying in school to do work... yeah!!! Football is well known around the world, people with different backgrounds, culture and speaking different language actually came to one place one country and play football… sometimes I feel football is really a great sports invention…

All because of that, for the past 2 weeks I had a lot of common topics to talk to my dad… analysis and talk about the match… haha… win and lost together…

Some people say betting is bad… they will end up losing a lot… but… from my way of looking at it, it is just a game that everyone play… in this case you are playing a game of soccer… just like you pay money to play LAN games, bowling or pools… as long you know how much you are willing to afford…

To me, paying $100 to play this game of soccer is quite a worthwhile thing…having a chance to experience the culture of soccer betting and get influenced by the world cup fever… just like the “Singapore Art Festival” which goes through for a month and most important having more topics to talk to my dad spending more time with him.... If lose all these benefits really cover ups the money, winning is just a bonus… haha… so soccer betting might not be bad also…

Something that I lost that can’t take back is my sleep… haha… been sleeping late night and working the next day morning… quite tiring though… but but… at least World Cup keep me occupied for this June holiday… haha…

It’s been sometimes never update my blog loh… seems like I started not to blog than often compare to when I started off…

Been busy for the past 2 weeks, work as well as freelance work… day time work… night time freelance… good to have my time fully utilities but also quite tiring… luckily is only a month…

Finally got my results today, not bad I should say… made improvement in most of the subject except 4D which I expect to get a higher grade then previous semester… however it turn out to be the other way round… wonder if Mark is unhappy with me transferring to film that’s why my grades drop… haha… Anyway, Surprise, surprise… Mr Chris subject I scored quite well… haha… dun like him as well as his lesson… but it come out to be a good sign… hmm… sometimes I really wonder…

From the time I started holiday till now, been spending a lot of $ on things… spent spent spent… luckily got keep track if not money sure gone… Kosong … currently planning for the KL trip in July as well as the FOC… hmm… funny… my enjoyment come only 2 mths after last sem ends and 1 mth before the sch starts…

Yesterday was really a FULL fledge day of activities… Morning gone down to Ngee Ann Poly for the Singapore Youth Media Conference… An interesting conference on popular culture… Surprise to saw the Singapore Idol Judge Ken Lim as one of the forum panelist, thought he got attitude but the critical thinking he has about the current issue is really worth a thought, even the MP praise him for his courage to speak what he want…

Finally realize something true… been living in the past for the past 1 year… trying hard to escape from the past… wanted to start a new… yet I am still trapped… I can sense that I am not far away from the exit… slowly… transforming myself into a piece of white paper… getting ready to learnt from scratch… yes… a new me… a fresh start…

I must not look for fame; rather think of new and creative ways to entertain people… I like to entertain and be entertained… I believe it is only this would bring me fame and honor… but when that comes… it will not be as important as being accepted by the people…

Miricle Miracle Miracle… What a match…was waiting for a week to the FA Cup showdown between Liverpool and West Ham… Gone to town yesterday at 3pm hang around with Kelvin till 8-9pm for weiyue, Jon and surprisingly Elgin to join us for the soccer match…the crowd was really there… but things dose not goes smooth only until the 91st min…

Liverpool was damn good to fight back from 2 goals down to win the final in the penalties… the second fight back in cup final since the Champions League… woah! It was really an exciting and heart dropping game… I shouted Goal like I never shout before when Liverpool had a late late equalizer by Gerrad… everyone was on their feet shouting and cheering…just like everyone was at the Millennium stadium in England...of course now voice is a bit off liao...haha...

Finally…I have complete my 5km run today since 1.5mths ago… really tiring… though only 5km… now my knees are really aching… but really feel very satisfied!

Been looking through the papers today to find some media related jobs, but it seems very difficult… most of the jobs are featuring part-time admin asst and data entry clerks… hai… I give myself tomorrow to find a job… if I still can’t get a media related job... then I will jus work as admin asst or data entry clerk then…

What should I do tml? Times seems to fly so slow… is only Thursday… a long weekend coming up but the not much of a plan only for sat where the ADM tea party will be held in the noon follow by the FA Cup final in the night…

Feels so great about spending money to buy stuff I needed… gone down to Bugis yesterday with Small and Big K… buy some computer stuff… got a great buy on a improvised 1GB “thumbdrive”… 1 GB at $50… haha… in fact bought a 1GB SD Card at $37.90… then buy a small card reader at $10… woohoo… like that I got my 1GB “thumbdrive” at $50…yeah!...

Also manage to buy a mini compro…wah... Finally found the one I want… not very good branding… but at least is cheap with good functionality.

Tata… here goes Big K and Weiyue came to meet small K and I… cool… went around la kopi and discuss abt the oversea trip… then later Big K join us back again for dinner… after that weiyue left… back to original… Small, Big K and I gone walk around and ended at Forum Starbucks la kopi till 11plus… waiting for weiyue and at the same time waiting for the voting results… haha… political issues never seems to be so interesting only for that particular night…

Ok… been out for the whole day... Enjoyed it… but also spend a lot lah… haha… so… what else next??? Find a job lay…. Grant Major, Production Designer for King Kong and LOTR… I went down to The Art House this morning for his seminar, interesting indeed. Open up my mind in how a big production is run… it is really very tedious work…

Really envious about those foreigner that they have big budget to spend on their movies… really enable them to do wonders… in local context, we film producer are either restricted by our budget or the scenery or equipment available to us… sad huh…

Luckily there are a number of my school mates attended the seminar, after which gone for lunch with them… la kopi with Raymond and Allen… then gone to watch MI3 haha… nice show indeed… nice gadget… nice effects… ok storyline… overall 3.5 out of 5… haha…

After that gone around suntec to look for some stuff with Raymond, have dinner then go home liao... Hai… tml really need to seriously go look for job liao… no more delays…

Finally, all the assignment had come to an end… Not bad for this semester compare to last semester. At least I know what I am doing and quite satisfy with my work done.

Been very busy for the past 1 week… assgn, exams and assgn… really feels like updating my blog but yet dunno what to blog about… time flies… so fast that I dun even have time to rest and reflect… really been thinking and doing too much stuff… dun really remember what I have gone through… the pain… the fun…

Yesterday had my last lesson for the semester… yeah! Last lesson for foundation… never really enjoy my foundation year… but at least I manage to go through it…

Anyway, yesterday was just sian, no mood for 2D class… half way I told my lecturer I going off to do my other assignment as I have finished her module work… yah… a bit not right but I have my time to rush… I only have yesterday 1 day to finish my 4D which is due next Monday…

Yesterday was in the lab from 1pm all the way….to the next morning 9a.m… piangz… of course in between gone for some break and talk cock with some people… feels great to hang out and talk about out work with other class and see what they experience… haha… and of course yesterday noon had another round of debate on my major..

Yah made my decision and confirm not going to change liao… initially, still in doubt about my choice… whether is a moment of rush or wat… but anyway after looking at the other student working in the animation lab in the late night… I knew that I had made a right choice…

A wonderful experience in school… so long never ton overnight in school to work liao… luckily got Malcolm, Raymond and Bang Ren around to accompany… if not I will be so lonely in the com lab…

Took a break at 4a.m… then only till 8pm I woke up to continue do until 9 then left school… the rest… still working there… wahhaha….I can imagine when time comes… more of this occasion will be happening…

Wah… super sian ½ and low morale today… gone to school hoping to use the plotter to print my 2D stuff so as to save some money… shit… because of the theft who stole the bloody laptop from the 2D room, even using the plotter is such a sensitive issue… so in the end wasted my whole morning in school waiting to use the plotter…

No choice, took transport to NUS to print… hai… alight wrong bus stop then must work to the printing shop… thanks to jess for her help to get access around the school compound… ok done… printed what I want.. So head back to Jurong east…

I planned to alight one bus stop before the interchange to pack food home… shit dunno what my mind is thinking I know I need to alight, yet, I did not move and ended at the interchange then had to walk a long way to the coffee shop to pack food…

That’s not all, happily took the bus home, suay suay... the moment reach my bus stop… F***King rain like “meow meow & Wang Wang”… wah liew… siam here and siam there finally got back home… hai… so worry my printed stuff get wet so hid here and hid there… but no use… still a bit the wet…

Anyway, spent the night cutting and doing my stuff… finally saw my work… ok lah quite happy with the result…hai… such a hassle to do 2D work… so “PEK CHEK”… like last semester like that… sian…. Lunky I choose to go Animation… YES! Animation… Only Computers…

Finally, after 3 months of hardship, we are here in the arena getting ready to show what we had been trained… still remember the 1st training where we are not that familiar with one another… bonds and team spirit were not there… however, all thanks to our experienced and wonderful AIs (Lex, Dalton & Changyan) to pull us together… by letting us go through hardship together, over bonds slowly builds up…

We feel that the process of going through all the tough training together is much more rewarding than winning the medal… though winning the medal will be a bonus to us… however, we still believe that most important is the bond and spirit within the team… nice knowing more about my team, Roger the talk cock king, Kingsen the silent killer, Yeekim our most hardworking member and not forgetting the rubberband man Hanloong… haha…

NTU TKD is really a champion team… I never felt so good in training and high in morale… definitely not in my poly canoeing days… we are train to think, eat, work, talk and act like a champion… I like the club, the fighting spirit of the club…

Finally, today I have some time to do my own stuff… for the moment I had no urgent projects in due and no Training! Yeah… haha… now in the com lab… helping my Beloved Mr Mark to upload his video tape… and at the same time read some stuff, surfing the net and listen to my music…

Feels good to take a breather after last week continuous work… (yah loh… weekend did not go out)… however, tml things will start to pile up again I assume… anyway, yeah… relax abit…

At Noon had a TKD pattern public performance at canteen A... alot of people... but nah... just do what we need to do... really is a one chance, no matter good or bad... this chance will determine our succss or failure ...this coiming saturday... we must grab hold our only chance n do our best...

Just read about a section on “The Art Of Creativity”… yah... I read a book neh... but doze off a few time... as usual... haha...The author Robin Linda, had been doing research on creative thinking… after numerous interviews, and research on creative professionals, she noted something some fascinating commonalities…

Fun time at Esplanade

Yesterday noon went down to Esplanade for a public performance… Initially feels very awkward as people and passerby keep looking at us… however, it turns out to be a great experience…Imagine wearing GI walking around City Hall... 1st time in my life man!

All the pattern teams were down at esplanade yesterday… we did our warm ups at the underpass where people used to dance hiphop before going out to the open space under the bridge to perform… A lot of people, tourist, passerby… but just hack care… haha… we did our pattern in the public… cool!

Worst is later we test our “Skin” to the limit where we gone down to merlion and perform our pattern there… haha… so many people so crowed, even the security guards came… haha… IS really POWER man… finish liao we “siam”… haha…It gains our confidence and guts to perform…

Everything is worth it… at the end of the public performance… We felt confidence and ready for this Saturday competition…

So much fun down at Esplanade… been sometimes that I feel this kind of team spirit and bonding… 1 more week to go… no time to loosen up… JIAYOU!

Been a week since I last updated my blog... been very busy for this week... projects & training...

Last week was my term break… did not really have a break… spent most of my time doing project work and training…

24th Feb, Friday was Susanne birthday, we went to her place to give her a “surprise”… have fun at her place… took a number of photos… and played heart attack! Haha… not a bad idea to spend an afternoon with my classmates… after that, was too bad can’t join them for dinner… had to go back sch for TKD training…

Back to training… been spending a lot of effort and time on it… today had my normal routine training… however… the moment I was waking to SRC… I can feel the tiredness in both my legs… maybe is because of yesterday tough training… the whole training today I can’t even give a good kick… very disappointed about my performance today… the feeling is as though I have lost the competition…

Never had such an urge to win a competition before… not even in during my days in canoeing… really put in a lot of heart and sweat into it… really wan to win it this time round… the Reserve and Performing team had been announced today… intially I though was me, however I got into the team but feel sad for the reserve as he is the one who put in the most time and effort out of the 5 of us... no matter what… Hope that 5 of us will still continue to train hard for the last week before the IVP comes… really must work hard and win next Saturday!

Been 3 days since the moment my term break starts… haha… never really touch my school work… been slacking and enjoying myself for the past 3 days…

18th Feb Sat

Meet Skye, Small Kelvin and JJ in town watch soccer… haha.. nice match Liverpool won Man U 1-0… bet on the game since I am watching… not very big though… I diverse my betting… haha.. in the end only won $4… just nice for the noodle and drinks I paid for that night… after that when to selegie there eat “dou hua”… never really like “dou hua” so only drink the “dou hua sui”… then went over for a 3hr KTV session till 3a.m… haha… really wan to enjoy myself for the night… so never really think of going home early… yah nearly forget… big Kelvin was also with us and went KTV for the 1st time… haha…

19th Feb Sun

Gone to Queensway to print T-shirt for the IVP team… then gone to tecky house play mahjong… teck, his mum, me and weirong...always the 4 of us lah...haha… this time round we played 3 rounds… wah.. can’t believe we play from noon 3pm till night 12a.m… 9 hrs straight… haha… win lose win lose.. like what I say, most important is the luck in the last very games… in the end.. everyone was so good that… no one win or lose more then $10… haha… for me… on average I lost $1 per hour… haha… after that… a nice late supper at bukit batok…

Gone to weirong house help him with his CPU… then eat his Taiwan “xiao chi” where he brought back from Taiwan… very nice… never see or eat before anywhere in Singapore… then later in the evening gone to Jurong point celebrate Donghan’s birthday at Fish & co… had some fun there before coming back home… I believe the fun will end here today… cost ml I am going back to my school, work liao… going town… Chinatown to do some Arty Farty filming with Yuchao…

Seems that my whole term break is fully scheduled… a lot of stuff to do… training, school work, meeting friends, etc… good that I have no time for my mind to wander off... :-D

seems that there is nothing much I can blog about these few days, am I too occupied by my school work or am I just started to get bored on blogging?

Everyday lesson then work else TKD training, schedule had been very pack for the past 2 months. Good or Bad, is up to me to judge, at least I feel that my time are utilized...

2 days ago, something happen to me, I should say my family, making everyone very moody... sometimes I don't really know which side to help... Both side I respected them well... either way will hurt one of them... a problem that even a genius are unable to give an answer...

Yesterday after school, was glad that there is no training, finally can go home early. Of course, don't really want to go straight home to feel the tense and pressure atmosphere... gone down to town to have dinner with weirong (finally back from Taiwan), meet up with skye at his working place... went down to esplanade, happen to catch the fireworks, watch 30mins of free movie screening... then went home... though did nothing much at least unwind myself abit...

Chinese New Year Eve

I had been at home for the whole day doing my school work, trying to finish it up so I can enjoy my holiday to the fullest. Manage to finish most of the stuff as I work through the night, did not even watch the TV or go out to meet my friend for count down, it is simply just staying at home, countdown together with the TV, simple and of course boring… anyway used to it already since every year also like that… how I hope it will be a special one with the special someone in the near future…

Chinese New Year (Chu Er)

I am feeling sick of driving, but no choice rather then letting ah ma and mum take taxi to my “Da Gu” place in Tampines I need to drive them over… so went over to “Da Gu” place had lunch there and come home around 5p.m… is really tiring to drive from Jurong to the north and east area… PIE, AYE, CTE, SLE, TPE … wah… all the E I drive until sian… so long and tiring…

At night was good, Kelvin came visit me then we go visit zaoxiang… last min we had a frag O, there we go… to MS area… me, Big K, guowei and kok….haha… initially wanna go dblO cos got free entry… however in the end, guowei soul was in MOS therefore we gone to MOS… never regret going there… entry fee of $15 and one free drink… the place is big… really big… the music good...the crowd was wild… the "vegetables" were woah!!!! Haha… did enjoy myself though did not drink much cos I drive… anyway kok was smart enough to buy liquor from 7-11 drink liao then go in... Cheaper… haha… a great night I have enjoyed myself…

Chinese New Year (Chu San)

Ok today plan to stay at home to do the rest of my work… however half way I went to teck house to visit him … at the same time play mahjong.. been a long time I din play liao since the time I lost to his mum $50+ … however, today is the 1st time I saw his mum and also his dad lost… only me and teck won haha… I think the most I have won since I played with them… not bad… a bit paiseh also… take Ang Bao, Win mahjong money and later in the night… teck mum’s treat me to dinner at “San Ding Liang Jian” at JP… haha… really my gd buddy for 10 plus years…know theier family as well... next time earn money must really treat them back…

Tonight I just want to go out of home and enjoy myself... decided to catch a movie then... though is ex on Friday but I believe is only weekends I have time to catch a movie yah... so went west mall watch "Huo Yuan Jia" Fearless with my brother & "brothers"... haha...

Nice show and good plot... like the way the movie is filmed that brought a very strong message across to the audience...

One scene shows Jet Li helping the farmer to plant wheat... when there is wind blowing... all farmers stop to feel the breeze, however only Jet keep on planting so as to overtake and win them... in the end he finish his job the fastest, however all are planted in correctly... It strongly brings a message to me that in real live, people work and compete with one another... however work can't be finished and it just keep coming... so one must learnt how to stop and relax our self at times, get recharged and continue working... There’s no point working so hard and never get a chance to enjoy.

Completing fast does not mean good... most important is that one put in the effort to bring out the best quality work and not forgetting to enjoy the process...

These is only one of the message that Jet wanted to bring across to the audience there are a few more if you really think of the words he said in the movie…

Anyway, like the show very much, been some time I had watch a movie liao… so ex nowadays so must choose the nice and worthy movie to watch… 3.5 / 5 … 0.5 deducted for too much of the cut scene that results in an abrupt transition of “Huo Yuan Jia” from a kid to adulthood. Overall GREAT SHOW!!!

Early morning wake up gone school for training... simply no mood to train... my whole mind is damn tired and still in sleep mode... muscles too heavy and can’t even do a good side and front kicks... is it because I did not sleep well yesterday night or simply my mind is thinking of too much stuff that I myself don’t know what is it...

After training, I feel so restless and tired... maybe morning did not eat breakfast... after a bath went down to Jurong central for my Brunch... feel a bit better but still tired and sleepy... no choice had to do some school work... went to the library to find some books... then took some pictures follow by a bus trip back home... on the bus the sleepiness kicks in... How I hope I was at home in my bed now...

Reach home... went straight to bed after organising my stuff... however, did not have a good sleep either... mum's keep calling me to help her do this do that... really fad up and at times still vent my anger while helping her out... my mind just gone low batt... simply no mode to do anything...

After a 2 hour nap, wanted to start on my history research but simply no mood loh... maybe nothing to look forward to do at night... normally sat night used to go out, now no $ so must stay at home liao... work is the best solution for not going out and saving $...

Now taking a break from my studies... sky turns dark... not because it is going to turn night... it seems that is going to rain again... but the feeling is really great.... cold wind blows... alone in my room with the music accompany me... yah... only the music...

Farewell to CPT Lim BK

Today, gone back to SAFTI OCS Charlie Wing for a farewell party to my respectable PC LTA Lim, NO! Should be CPT Lim... haha... He had been a very good "father" to me and the platoon. Always respect him as a person and really thanks for what he had taught us during our cadet’s day. He really inspires most of us and teaches us the ways in treating people and problems. The day I commision as an officer, I tell myself I want to be someone like him and I feel that I had done pretty well to gain the trust of the peopel working under me in my unit... all thanks to him

The route back to wingline…

Took the route from SAFTI gate to Wingline, memories flow back when I was a cadet. Every time book in need to march in in with my black pants and white shirt, by the time reaches my bunk already sweating... haha

Then went walk pass the parade square, saw the SAFTI Tower, where I also can seen from NTU... haha... reminds me of the first day orientation that I run up the tower.

Walk pass the swimming pool, recall back of jumping from the platform 5 meter in height, in No.4, early in the morning at 4a.m... Shivering

Eat my dinner at cadet mess, egg noodle with chicken chop and root beer float, the best food in the mess where I used to eat when having night break as a cadet. It just brings back memories.

Saw the common area, remember where I fall in and sit, taking strength and listening to tons of craps and instructions from the wing cadet appointment holder.

Walk through level 2, take a look at my bunk and corridor, where we clean our rifles, do our area cleaning, talk cock, play punk…

Saw the Platoon Assault Course Flag that we designed, surprisingly still intact on the notice board, remember of the last assault we did where I was the Cadet Platoon sergeant…

Saw the new cadets, reminds me of the days we Charlie wing Platoon 2 training and playing together… Those were the days...

Times flies, I have already spent almost 2 years of my national service since the day I enlisted and now disrupted from the army. However, BMT, OCS and my tour in unit seems like it happen not very long ago... Now study in NTU already... everytime saw the link bridge and SAFTI tower just make me think back about the days as cadets... These memories are really there for me… never forget the time I had in OCS… How I wish we could be together again on a mission, just ONCE, as 2LT and LTA… the feeling will definitely be different…

Another week of school, been raining for almost 5 days in a row... wah never know that Singapore rain that much... Everyday go school sure get wet one... sian... worst is yesterday and today I am late for class... alarm clock did not sound off... rain... sleep until shiok shiok and wake up late... ah yoh...

Finally, today I saw the sun liao!!! Where have u been to? Everyone miss you leh!!! haha... Thought today Friday 13th will be worst but it came out to be a blessing in disguise... haha... Not a bad week after all...

ok... yesterday whole day writing my short stories... really crack my brain man... luckily JJ called to meet up with him, Big K, Small K, Weiyue and Guowei... Not bad, since Weiyue is going, I was the passenger for that day... feels good to be a passenger yah...

Big K, JJ, Weiyue and I meet at orchard and ate at Cine Leisure... At there I have to think twice what to eat before buying cost really poor leh... Is the cheapest from the basement food court to 1st level fast food and 3rd level pasta mania to 4th level Suki Ramen... In the end because of that Stupid JJ saying go food court no class, we go eat the Suki Ramen... JJ, I know you alot of money dunno how to spent but must save up leh... haha...

Then we went over to Maxwell Market to meet up with Guowei and Small K before going over to East Coast Park Mac for a Chat. Talk alot of stuff about some of them having problem with their jobs and their future career... seems that some of my friends are lost once they ORD... Listen to their problems and share our solutions... not a bad chat after all... All of us always have the dream that few years down the road we won’t be sitting at low class McCafe liao... must upgrade to Dynasty, Cheng Du, Xin Tian Di etc... haha...

1st week of school

Hmm... Very fast the end of week 1 in school. A very hectic week… study and at the same time training for IVP. Seems that I have no time to think of other things except for study and training.

Nothing much about the school work since it is still in the 1st week, but I foresee that more stuff will be coming up next week onwards.

Training is ending later and later each time. Today train from 6 pm to 1030 pm... tml still have training in the morning... tired because of traveling cos I did not stay in hall and I don't intend to... anyway, since I am in the IVP, I really want to win it! If not must as well don't join yah? That's why must really commit to the training.

Good that for the 1st week of school there is a super long weekend for me. Sat, Sun, Mon (No lesson) and Tue (Haji). Enough for me to really get mentally and physically prepared for school and IVP training.

The 1st entry of year 2006… never had a chance to write the last one for year 2005, however, this 1st entry of the year will wrap up what had been happening in the past 1 year and the coming year.

30th December 2005

The last few days of 2005 is really happening and havoc for me… on New Years Eve’s Eve… Ah kok, one of my OCS TST platoon mate had a birthday celebration at dblO. He treated us drinks at UE square before going into dblO. Woah… I was “high” already before going in… that night was really happening… I really do enjoy myself at the dance floor with my fellow platoon mates… I tell myself to really enjoy this as school and the coming new year is going to start and this is a rare chance that we can get together to have fun… best of all cover charge is FREE!!!

The 1st few hours was really super duper power… until I went to for a break and sit down at the bar counter and have a drink… Thanks to JJ for treating me and weiyue 1 x Taqila shot and 1 x Lychee Martini…poor me can’t treat him back as I am still a “qiong shu shen”… but will remember this moment man!!! Nice drink… and there I go… starting to feel sleepy… I am confirming that this time round I am 100% drunk mode ON… I think I vomited 5 rounds that night and nearly vomit out my liver neh… haha… and sleep at the couch for 1 hour before my buddies SM me with fire and wax… haha… anyway I feel much better after that… a night that I would not forget…

Reach home around 4am and slept till 10am… decided to spent my day at home peacefully watching soccer at night and pass through year 2005 into the new year… however, my long time buddy since primary school called me… wah… that’s it loh… psycho me till I meet them him and his girlfriend at orchard then go dblO… yes dblO again, 2 times in a row!!! AH… No choice yah, had to go… and paid $40 buck for the cover charge… seems that It just cover back the FREE entry the day before…

The 2nd night in dblO I still have the phobia of drinking and getting drunk… I really did not drink much… but really dance a lot… a lot more then the previous night… RETRO night leh… steady… have a countdown at 12 and there party music… dance till I sweat out sia… like working out like that… haha… not bad for this year 2006 countdown… but really can’t remember how I spent my last day in year 2004 liao… haha…

Yeah the years 2006… how are you? Today did a lot of preparation for the new school term… pack my stuff, my bag, my work, etc. Give myself some self reflection for last year and this year.

Year 2005 is not a bad year but also not a good one for me… been through a lot of things… from the army, out to before a civilian then become a student… problems are meet through the way from army to school to personal relationship… however good memories are also forged along the way… nevertheless, all these makes me grow. Finally, my FOCUS seems to be more visible and know what I really wants in the coming year… this are not that important I do not really want to think about it anymore…

Year 2006 is a new year, I give myself a new look, a new start… hopefully this year will be a good one… FOCUS on my studies and career… sometimes there is no point struggling for the “something” in life, it will just happen when not expected...

Meet Evwin at city hall today, went around walking in marina square... like a maze... don’t know where we walk also... play a game of pool... while “window shopping” and playing pool, we are actually waiting for skye to come... as usual late again... he late for his interview then came late to meet us as well...

We went to eat BK for dinner and the girl at the counter name xueli... haha.. very cute and cubby... then we dare each other to ask her no. haha... no lah actually playing around only... then walk around saw "The promise" movie poster so decided to catch a movie... beside the ticket booth is a shoe shop, there is a sales girl, Eurasian look, very chio and cute... haha... but just "window shopping" lah...

anyway back to the movie... sucks and lame for the story... give a small credit to the effects they made and that's all I have to comment about the movie... in fact over usage of effects also and at inappropriate area... lucky is only $7 not $9.50 for this lame show... or I should have downloaded instead…

There we go over to la ko pi and talk cock... only till 1130 then share a cab home... haha... NUS, Jurong then Taman Jurong... cool... is good that skye live in hostel... that's why we can meet out more often...

Is Boxing day! However, I already open my Christmas on Christmas day itself… haha… anyway been doing quite a lot of things these few days…

Training, training and more training… yah, now training hard for the coming TKD IVP 2006 coming mid-Feb… almost everyday go school for training… not bad, at least I don’t waste my time at home play games or stoning…

On Christmas Eve, was glad to had a Christmas dinner cum celebration at han’s place… still remember last year also go han’s place for celebration, but this year less people… had a good dinner there… eat until very full, what is needed for Christmas I have ate them all… Turkey, ham, Log cake, Stolen, etc… Also have a lucky draw session rather then a gift exchange session… something different… haha… sad to say I got the cheapest gift… but never mind it comes with a special mystery prize… haha… nice of them to buy a toilet bowl washer for my mum… enjoy myself only till 2 a.m before I reach home at 3 a.m

Christmas Day! Yeah, had been a good boy at home to help my mum clean the kitchen from morning till noon… Lucky my brother at home, so give him most of the task to do… haha… let him exercise… if not too fat liao… haha… then finally at night got a chance to go KTV to sing… so long never go liao, tonight sing till very shiok!

Other then play, now I am currently doing a small freelance job… hopefully can get it done before the school starts and try to get some revenue out of the job… my bank account is just depleting… sad… new school term sure need to spend again to buy books and crafts materials…

Early in the morning been busy choosing my Electives for next coming semester... choose here choose there, in the end all choose wrong...regret on my choice... most probably will drop most of them...

Having problem with which minor to take... with the ever changing and unsettled course structure in my school, I can’t really make a decision... think this is the main issue of going to a new establish school ba... hai... no choice.. lan lan suck thumb had to bear with it…

Anyway, tml going down school to talk to the course manager, hope that every doubts can be cleared by them... really dun wish to go through the 2nd semester without fully understanding the school system... then result "BUOanG" again... sian...

finally got my result for 1st semester this morning... the result looks good and ok with me without the history grades... but at night I check again and saw the history results is really really sad lah... but however, from the way I perform in 1st semester, I feel that I am quite content with he results... nevertheless, 2nd semester is a new start... hope everything will be different... at least now I am clearer of the system in ADM... next is to decide on my GER liao...

Today went orchard S-11 again with skye to watch the Liverpool match against Sao Paulo... Club World Championship final... an exciting and entertaining game thou, but Liverpool was just out of luck... 17 corners, numerous chance, 3 goals and 3 offside that rule out the goals...

Shouted goals for 3 times and 3 times not counted... almost everyone watching the match was cursing at the referee decision... really can't believe how Liverpool can lose the game... just like you study very hard for exam then get D or fail in the end that kind of feeling... shit man... wonder how's my result for this semester... still haven out yet...

Later after the match, skye and I was just stun and really dunno where to go and what to do... hai... taking every heavy steps down orchard road... piangz... till now also dunno why Liverpool lost... luck was not on Liverpool side huh... damn it... not easy to play in the tournament also... dunno when will be the next chance... very sad neh...

Cool, today went to Sentosa with the canoeing people, juniors and seniors from my poly... great to see new faces and friends that had gone thru training together during the days... anyway, nice weather that shines and rains alternatively, making the weather very hot at times and cooling when we are dehydrating... also surprisingly saw nicole and her family there cycling haha... so conincidence... actually I saw nicole's sister before I saw her...

Then later the night, after dinner went to Holland Village, inessential brew to chill out... that place is really nice... haha... that time wanna go with my classmates but closed too early, today weekend open till 2a.m... So sit down there talk cock till 11 plus then leave... nice place and environment but drinks hoh... abit off lah...

Had an enjoyable day today, however still can't control my spending habit... spent around $20 today... hai... at the rate I am spending... think before end of the month I will be broke liao... how to change my spending habit? I am in the army no more!!!

Today went to Tinybox for the Impresario 2006 vocal audition... hai... I performed very badly... way below what I expected to be... too nervous yah... and also hoh my throat still haven recover... shit... wrong pitching, wrong key, wrong song, wrong timing... seems that everything is going the opposite way yah...

Anyway, a good experience... cos gotta have a chance to sing in the recordings studio while the judge is in the control room... haha... like I am recording my own album like that...

However really did badly... dunno what I am singing also... can only feel my heart pump faster and faster as I sing...

Yeah! Congrats to pool for beating Saprissa in the World Club Championship semi-finals... look like they are good enough to win the Champions!!!

Today went for a seminar talk at NAFA where my tutor Mark Chavez is one of the speaker... not bad for the talk, good and informative... knows more about how people work in the industry and the post production work.

Then later in the noon meet up with skye to walk around and watch soccer at Orchard S-11... haha... 2 liverpool fans sited down at S-11 since 530 till around 830 then leave... only drink and eat dessert... anyway not many people so ok lah.. haha...

So glad that I spent the whole day out in town... better then staying at home and play games... so boring and waste of time... but go out sure spent one loh... no choice...

woah... 3 days 3 nights of TKD IVP camp in school... and now I am finally back home loh… feel like just book out from camp like that…

thurs night went back to school at night for the camp. 1st night was just an ice breaker night, nothing much about the training…

2nd day, the training starts... for the whole day, there is physical, mental and technique training... tough but still can be done... no problem yah...

3rd day early in the morning gone to east coast for a run and beach training... do kicks in water, run on the beach... haha... like how Rocky train himself in the movie... cool... like the sun and get a good sun tanning... haha... however, end of 3rd day my body is really tired already but not my mind... can feel the aches coming in, right leg can't really kick to my maximum height already...

4th day loh!!! Steady I waited for the last day for quite sometime already... I will get a chance to SPAR an opponent in the arena... cool... is quite a rare chance for a beginner to fight in an arena... anyway my first match is quite a good one with no point score between my opponent and I, and got a draw match... better then losing... looking at the senior fight is really cool, one kick on the head, the opponent KO already... some bleed... but is part & parcel of the game yah... give me few more years, then I can really SPAR well loh... haha... now ready very weak at foundation skills...

now, writing my blog with my tired legs... really can't lift up my right leg... very heavy now, but I can feel the improvement I got from the training... know alot of friends there, haha, next time go training not that boring liao... all can talk cock sing song one... ok, enough for now, next week gotta do something liao... what a hectic and enjoyable week with my oversea trip and TKD camp...

yap, today finish my second and last paper for my exam loh... It also marks the end of 1st semester... so fast yah? 7 more semester to go... haha... still long neh...

Time fly so fast, I still can remember the 1st day I go school for orientation and everyone in the class look so blur and shy... now everyone just show their true colours... haha...

Been clicking well with my class, lucky to know them as well... unfortunately we left 1 more semester together before going to our major... no choice, each of us need to take our own path yah...

This semester really full of ups and down, trying my best to settle down... hmm, now I feel more settle down after the 1st semester. In terms of focus, yes, I think I got back my focus liao... yoho... so happy... think is because of the chats that I had been thru with my army friends yah? Starting to open up my mind liao...

Truly speaking, this semester is not really good for me... result sure... ahem... no need to say one... but nvm... next sem "Hui Gen Hao"!!!

hmm... nov 22... like this birth date of mine... yap been raining for the whole day... feels good to be alone at home studying my history... such cooling weather, really feels good to be alone in my room... sounds sad on my birthday? neh... lucky I got company yah... manage to celebrate my birthday with the some great artist... Michelangelo, Cimabue, Titian and Van Eyck... cool yah? haha...

Later in the evening, meet my platoon mates at lao di fang... Had dinner with Big Kelvin at long john before going down to Boat Quay Mac... Nice to see my OCS buddy YOGA!!! Been some times never see him liao... never see him at our recent gathering... Yap, thanks to Guowei for his nice delicious Swenson ice cream cake... also JJ and Small Kelvin. At least got a small celebration with some friends...

Last year, my wish din really come true, or nearly true but not that true... haha... this year, I din make any wish... but intend to give another year of extension to my last year wish... haha... ok... peacefully pass my birthday liao... so what next to look forward to? my Thailand trip of course...

It had been alot of things happening in the past 5 days... since last wed till today... I had been at Bugis street working and after that meet my friend at Boat Quay Mac talk cock... experience a lot of things, see a lot of things, know a lot of new people, think on a lot of things, a lot of incidents happens... a lot of up and downs during the 5 hectic days... need to “jaga” work and study... hai... don't really want to type it all out... post some photos here... pictures speak a thousand words...

Been at Bugis street for the past 3 days helping out in the streetease event (2 more days to go...), so happy to see wenxin, winnie and susanne drop by there to see the event, just feel happy to see them around... I can count myself lucky to get this job, able to earn some pocket money. However, really took decades for the school to pay me leh... haven even got a cent from school yet...

Being able to work is good indeed but I am also worry that I have no enough time to study for my history exam... I forced myself to do a bit of research everyday I came back home from work... it is really really very tiring... serious... can't really concentrate... but desperately need the extra cash...

Don’t know whether I am too busy with my exam and work or what, seems that my mind had not been wondering away from me this few weeks... I am much more exam and work orientated now... kind of no life yah, but still able to squeeze out some time to meet my friends for coffee... good in the way that I am trying my best to avoid unnecessary problems on myself... hmm... but sometime problems do make my life more interesting yah? eh... what am I saying... oh... must be blur liao... better get some good rest...
